Mangere Mountain

This term we went to Mangere Mountain.

We  learned about the two craters.

I liked walking up the mountain.

Something I could do better is climbing up the mountain.

Since we came back from lockdown we have been learning basketball. 

For this activity we leant how to play basketball. 

I liked playing basketball.

Tennis

 We have been learning tennis for the past few weeks at school.

Some of the things we have been practising are throwing and caching the ball.

I enjoyed playing tennis because it was fun.

One thing I could practise more of is bouncing the ball up and down.

For this activity we had to draw a picture of half of our face

I liked doing this activity because it was fun.

I like the eye that I drew because I like the shape of it.

One thing I would change is the ear because I would make it much more better.

My favourite piece of online learning

I had so much fun making shapes out of shapes.

I used all kinds of shapes and colours to fill my boat.

I had to think about the shapes that would fit, and sometimes I would need to change the angle to make it fit.

How to make a poppy

Today I am going to show you how to make your very own poppy.


Things you need:
- Paper
- popsicle stick
- scissors
- glue stick
- colouring pens or crayons
- cup
- bottle cap
- pencil



Instructions:

Step 1
Trace you petals and stamen.

Step 2
Colour your petals, stamen and stem.

Step 3 
Cut out your pieces.

Step 4
Put glue on your petals, stamen and stem.

Step
Put your poppy together.

Creative challenge

I stacked up boxes for this challenge.

It was really fun and scary standing on the table.

The School Holiday - March 2020

In the holidays I did some fun and interesting things.

I found some branches in the garden, and decided to build a home  for the insects.

I had so much fun designing and building my insect home.

I saw a praying mantis on the steps and moved it into it's new home - unfortunately I couldn't take any photos of it.

Here is a photo of my completed insect house.

I also learnt how to cook food on the bbq.

There were sausages, chicken nibbles and some vegetables.

I participated in the big NZ easter egg hunt.

I found a few easter eggs around my neighbourhood.


I coloured one in myself, and hung it on the fence for others to find too.
