How to ride my bike without training wheels.

In the school holiday, I learnt how to ride my bike without training wheels. 

First I started riding my bike on the grass and it took me some time to learn how to ride without falling. I guess knowing how to ride on my scooter helped with the balancing.

Then I rode my bike on the pavement, I did feel nervous at first but once I got the hang of it I was not scared anymore. 

However on my first day, I did ride into a hand rail on the side on a footpath and smashed my face into it. I had a bruise on my cheek for a few days.

Learning this week

 This week I found Maths Rounding and Compensating very hard and it took me a long time to complete it.

Lucky my Mummy taught me how to do it. 

My favourite piece of learning this week

My favourite piece of learning this week is watching those short films.

I found them interesting because they don't have any words and you kind of make up your own story.

Lost Cockatoo

 Today when we went for our walk, we saw a bird walking on the foot path, it looked lost. It was a beautiful looking bird, it was white with pink on the front of it's body. We were sure it was someone's pet. The turned out it was a Lutino rose-breasted cockatoo.

It was heading our direction and then starting turning towards the busy main road. We didn't want it to get hurt so Mummy and I tried to stand in front of it's way so it wouldn't walk onto the road.

Mummy was too scared to pick it up so we called Mum to come help us. Mum came and pick up the bird and held it while Mummy rang the SPCA.

Unfortunately there were no answer at the SPCA, so Mummy then tried calling the Council. The Council couldn't help us.

Our neighbour also said to post a photo of the bird on the Facebook Mt Roskill Community page. Sure enough we heard from the owner. It belongs to a little girl. Apparently it's been lost for 2 days.

We sat in our car and gave it water while we were waiting for the owner to come pick it up. 

We were so happy we found the Cockatoo's owner.

Special Olympics

 Special Olympics is for people (adults and children) with intellectual disabilities. 

On Monday at school, the seniors spent half the day outside playing Special Olympics games.

There were a total of nine games. There were two games that I really liked.

The first game I really liked, we had to stack tin cans. Three on the bottom, then two on top of the three cans and then one on top of the two cans.

The other game I really liked, we had to throw bean bags into a bucket. I got half the bean bags in the bucket.

It was a really fun day and I had so much fun!

Disruptions work

 This week we have been doing a activity about how many times the Olympics has been canceled. And we have also been doing what year it has been canceled in. One of the years that the Olympics has been canceled is in 2020. It has been canceled in 2020 because of covid 19.

 This term for writing we have been doing  procedural writing and we had to write some instructions of how to play a game. The game that I chose was Tag. Then the next thing we had to do is choose a game to write about and tell the reader how to play the game. Here are my instructions, see if you can follow them
